  • A marked-up copy of your work using Word’s Tracked Changes, Google Doc’s Comments, or Adobe Acrobat
  • A clean copy of your work with changes made
Starting at US $0.006 per word

Copy-Edit

Copy-editing (also called line-editing) is a deep dive into your draft. Editing with your target audience in mind to make sure your message or story is coming through unambiguously and with consistency. Everything including the text, headings, images, captions, and notes is examined to ensure they work as you intend.

What you get:

  • A style sheet
  • A marked-up copy of your work using Word’s Tracked Changes or Google Doc’s Comments
  • A clean copy of your work with changes made
  • Notes and questions about facts, clarity, sensitivity, and logic, as needed
Starting at US $0.008 per word

Developmental Edit

This is for longer works. Evaluate themes, characters, dialogue, descriptions, and structure and provide you with an editorial summary of suggestions. Ensure you’re aligned with what your readers will expect from your chosen genre. Give you clear, specific advice on how to resolve common issues like purple prose, stuffy dialogue, and a dragging pace directly in your draft.

What you get:

  • A style sheet with character, location, and worldbuilding details
  • Detailed suggestions using Word’s Tracked Changes or Google Doc’s Comments
  • A detailed report with specific big-picture changes you can make to the story to increase reader appeal
  • A revision checklist to guide your next draft
  • Marketing suggestions based on your genre and target audience
